Teaching is organised into three departments. Each carries its own professional programmes, but the first year is largely shared: every student takes the same grounding in the basic sciences before specialising.
| Department | Programmes | Head of Department |
|---|---|---|
| Applied Sciences | Pharmaceutical Technology | Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and the laboratory sciences that underpin every programme in the College. The department carries the first-year foundation courses and the bench work that follows them. |
| Pharmaceutical Technology | Medical Laboratory Technology | Pharmaceutics, pharmacognosy, dispensing practice and the safe handling of medicines, taught through compounding exercises in the laboratory and supervised dispensing on placement. |
| Preventive Health Sciences | Community Health Technology, Public Health | Community health, epidemiology, environmental health and health education — the disciplines behind immunisation, outbreak response and the primary health care system most of our graduates will work in. |
